'Normal' railways are heavy rail. The Edinburgh Tram lines are example
of light rail.

Might be useful if as they have hinted there that trains from Newcastle will
call at the airport. It would be less useful if you were starting from
Newcastle and had to change at Waverley to get to the airport, with all your
luggage can often be a tricky undertaking.
