From SPT's own minutes

"Other projects identified as not being eligible to ERDF grant already paid
out are the investigative works carried out for the planned StrathClyde
Tram (where grant must be repaid because the project did not proceed to
actual physical work due to the objections of the Parliamentary
Commissioners); and SPT?s transport information project, JESS (the contract
for which was not let until after the expiry of the 1994/96 ERDF programme
period, thereby rendering the project ineligible for grant, although it did
comply with procurment rules in all other respects).

The total amount of ERDF grant which may have to be repaid is therefore
£1,355,476."

Anyone know exactly what the objections were on behalf of the Parliamentary
Commissioners?

I had a revisit to your site Hugh and was impressed - much more usable with
broadband. I was about to disconnect when the midi file cut in on your
`personal` photos but it actually added to a poignant family album.

Great stuff - when are the `walks` going to be updated?
